Founded in 2006 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, MASTEQ, LLC. was established by Mark Anderson and Steven Horvath with a clear mission: deliver high-quality tooling, machined components, fixturing, and prototypes with short lead times and competitive pricing. From day one, MASTEQ has taken a different approach than traditional contract manufacturers. By integrating Lean Manufacturing principles with proactive project management, we help customers reduce costs, streamline production, and stay fully informed throughout every stage of their project. The result is a more efficient process, faster turnaround times, and reliable, high-quality outcomes.

Both founders brought extensive industry experience to the company. Steven Horvath holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University and has a background spanning CAD/CAM systems, foundry tooling, aerospace, and project management. Mark Anderson completed a state-indentured apprenticeship in patternmaking and has experience in CAD, design engineering, department management, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Together, our leadership team brings decades of hands-on industry experience across engineering, tooling, and advanced manufacturing. This expertise continues to shape a culture focused on precision, accountability, and continuous improvement—ensuring every project is executed with the highest standards.

In 2011, MASTEQ moved operations to our facility in Muskego, Wisconsin, significantly increasing production machining capabilities. With this move, an additional 3 dedicated high speed production machines were added to our floor to compliment the 4 existing VMC's and our CNC Turning Center. This location now serves as the company’s Tool and Engineering division.

In 2017, MASTEQ further expanded with the purchase of a 22,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This ISO 9001-certified facility is home to the company’s primary manufacturing operations and features a wide range of equipment, including VMCs, HMCs, and CNC Turning Centers.

With automation-driven processes, MASTEQ runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—maximizing efficiency and ensuring consistent output. Our ongoing investment in cutting-edge equipment means your parts are produced using the latest technology, resulting in superior quality, reduced lead times, and cost-effective manufacturing.

Our capabilities include machining parts up to 2,000 pounds within an 84” x 32” x 30” envelope, along with advanced multi-axis machining that minimizes operations while improving precision and throughput. We confidently support annual volumes of 50,000+ units while maintaining strict quality standards.

MASTEQ works with a broad range of materials, including brass, bronze, iron, aluminum, weldments, plates, and sand-cast components. Supported by a skilled team of engineers, machinists, and quality professionals, the company efficiently takes projects from concept to production, delivering custom solutions that support successful product launches.
